Stories play an important part in the history of the Islam faith, one of the most major stories in the Angel Gabriel came to Muhammad and told him to spread the word of Allah. The Story of Islam states that Mohammad was born in 570 in Mecca. In 610 the Angel Gabriel came to him and told him to spread the word of Allah, by doing this Muhammad was eventually persecuted for trying to spread Islam through out Mecca. Non-Muslims and Muslims fought and the Muslims eventually won and reclaimed Mecca. These stories allow followers to remember and look back on how their religion stated and the history of it. The book of Qur’an, which is the holy book for the Islam faith, allows followers to discover and know what their God, Muhammad, wants them to do, this book says that all people of the Islam faith should try and follow the ways of Muhammad because he was the most perfect of human beings. One of the major rules of Islam is the ‘Five Pillars’ which consists of five parts these include, the belief or faith in one God (Muhammad), pray five times a day, have a concern to charity and donate 2.5% of your savings, fasting during Ramadan and a once in a lifetime trip to Mecca. There are also two more important rules that Islam’s need to follow, rule such as Jihad which means “struggle or effort” means that they need to be a good muslin and defend Islam. The rule of Halal is when Muslims sacrifice animals and don’t eat pork. If these rules are obeyed when it comes to the Islam’s ‘Day of Judgment’ God will decide they will go to heaven.
