I have been asked many times what my goals are as an IT professional, my questions, and my concerns, what I look forward to, what I’m scared of. Today’s society basically revolves around technology; to me that’s scary. everywhere you look there are I-phones, I-pads, lap tops, GPS, and so on. Growing up in our world it’s not only fun to have these devices but I believe it’s extremely important to know how to use these tools as well. I predict in the near future that technology will be as important to the human race as breathing air, which is the exact reason I chose to become and IT major. Many people today don’t know much about the technology they use every single day, especially those who grew up without it. Technology interest’s me because I know if one can learn how to trouble shoot, build and work with the new technologies then one’s chances of sustaining an easy going life are greater. I look forward to making my life as easy as possible in that respect.
As a teen in today’s society I am somewhat lucky to have had the opportunity to learn about computer technology in school and experience it for myself in real life situations as well. A few of my strengths that have some from these types of experiences would be my typing skills, my ability to find reliable sources on the internet, cyber communication, knowledge on backing up files, On top of that I have learned a bit about how to keep a computer protected from harmful viruses and also using all different variations of Microsoft.
