Aztec pyramids are a religious thing for them it is the most value able thing for them it is like there heart of the village. If it gets destroy they will build it again that were they keep their water and food source. In the 1500s – 1600s the Aztec was a strong empire in Mexico. The Aztec was really good at hunting. Aztec is people that wear cloth but not normal cloth they wear this kind of weird cloth and have tattoo that they make on each other. Every tattoo represents something they all have a meaning. The pyramids of Aztec reflected the importance of religious, sacrifice, and values in Aztec society.
The Aztec pyramids are about religious. You want to know why? The Aztec pyramids were like temples because they put temple on top of the pyramids and that’s how they worships there gods because they put pyramids/temple and that’s a way they worship there gods. They all so put the name of their gods and that’s the way they show that they worship their gods. The Aztec pyramids have the name of their gods. They worship a god called “The Sun,” and they name a pyramid after him.(Aztec Religion) "Religion was extremely important in Aztec life. They worshipped many gods and goddesses, each of whom ruled one or more human activities or aspects of nature. The people had many agricultural gods because their culture was based heavily on farming; also they included natural elements and ancestor-heroes". This support my thesis that the Aztec was about religious, what they did was for their gods. The Aztec have man y gods like Centeotl, Chalchiuhtlicue, Chantico, Chicomecoatl, and Yacatecuhtli and much more. (Aztec Religion) "Important in Aztec religion were the sun, moon and the planet Venus - all of which held different symbolic and religious meanings". That mean that the most important gods for the Aztec was the Sun, Moon and the plant venus. This was that the Aztec were religious about a lot of stuff. The Aztec pyramids were about sacrifice. Why did the Aztec do sacrifice? The Aztec did sacrifice because they do it for their gods. The Aztec have a pyramid that has two temple on top and that's how they did it. They use a knife and stab the person that is sacrifice right in the heart and takes it out and throws the body down the stairs.(Cartwright) The Aztec wasn't the first to do the sacrifice. The Aztec take sacrifice to an unprecedented scale," The Aztec thought that sacrifice was necessary to ensure the continuity of the world and the balance of the universe. The victims were chosen carefully was chosen by it characteristics so if it characteristics was good for the gods then they will sacrifice them. They would sacrifice the children to the "Tlaloc", He is the rain god. (Cartwright)Not all sacrifices took place on top of pyramids. Children were sacrificed to Tlaloc, carried to the god’s sanctuaries on top of the mountains that surround Tenochtitlan. This support my thesis that they sacrifice men, women, and children but only to the "Tlaloc" god only. This conclude that sacrifice was one of the
