My mother grew up financially struggling to support my older brother, my older sister, and I. I promised myself that I would attend college, earn my degree in Nursing, and being able to help not just my patients, but to repay my mother for all of the sacrifices she has made for my siblings and I. With a college degree, I’ll earn more than an individual who does not have a college degree. “The Pew Research Center analyzed 2010 Census Bureau data and found that the typical adult with only a bachelor's degree will earn $1.42 million over a 40-year career, or $650,000 more than a typical individual who has only a high school degree.” (Huffingtonpost.com)

Due to all the new equipment being made, communication is unavoidable. With the majority of college majors involving English Composition, I’ll learn “the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively with help you land the perfect job, improve your career advancement opportunities and enhance your interpersonal relationships with family members and associates,” (Collegeatlas.org).
