In the book the great gatsby Daisy represents a peaceful person who has everything going for her in her life. She may get into some tight spots with some men aka tom buchanan and jay gatsby but when she is not in a fight between the 2 she is very nice and outgoing girl. She can't decide what to do when people fight over her she can't think. This can be a problem because you may say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
When you look at Daisy she is not a decision maker she just follows what other people do the only time she ever did something and made the decision on ti was going to the hotel when it was extremely hot and she only did it to break up the fight between tom and gatsby. …show more content…
The role of daisy is a role that can almost tear two people apart. She can do this because she fell in love with gatsby before he went to war and when she never received mail from him she found a new lover who married her. Tom buchanan would have affairs and be drunk all the time. So someone like gatsby to come along would be way nice than a drunk person who has affairs. it s not till later in the book he realizes he really loves daisy. Daisy goes through many changes when she sees gatsby again. She changes a lot because she doesn't know what to do. This gets her confused and then eventually leads her into believing tom is bad and she wants gatsby but in reality she was never really meant for gatsby. He tried to hard to get something too far out of reach. This makes it a love hate relationship.
