Throughout the past three years at Pioneer I have taken part in the peer mentoring program. Peer Mentoring had a great impact in my life because I had a chance of helping younger grades to adjust to a new environment. Being a new student at Pioneer is very difficult because you don’t know anyone and you would want to have an older person to look up to. Peer mentoring was a great community service because I helped out an 8th grader to adjust and try to understand the life at Pioneer. For example, she was struggling with in her math class and personal life. I gave her advice how she can go to academy to get extra help from her teacher. I made sure she was doing her work.
