When there's diversity, there's variety. People come to work from dissimilar linguistic backgrounds. The diverse upbringing of employees in different countries and the various languages that they speak in their surroundings is a real buzzword right now, because it creates a new set of challenges as well as opportunities for employees and employments. In fact, many people offered several reasons hoping that people coming from other countries with different cultures, speaking different languages allow improved reciprocal relation, conscious and unconscious processes and emotions that determine personality and motivation leading to the emergence of new job titles, allowing for more diversity in every subject matter.

A blanket English-only rule at work is burdensome and potentially hazardous and can create a hostile work environment. People coming from different places are employed for their special working skills. They have a special pronunciation, a distinctive manner of oral expression, different patterns of stress and intonation in English language. Therefore, judging an employee for their accent is against the law and is measured as a possible form of discrimination.
It has been observed that, in some places, speaking Spanish has been prohibited at all times while at work and while inside the work building in the USA. Some Hispanic workers who spoke Spanish during working hours were threatened with dire consequences. There were further issues of court cases and workers’ rights violations concerning language problems. Yes. There were many workers who have succeeded in their claims against language problems and discrimination.
