an interest group is a group of people that share a common interest and try to influence politics as an organization. Interest groups are not actually part of the government but they have a big influence in elections. The Lobbyist is a person that works for the interest groups and tries to influence the decisions made by the government. Sometimes the lobbyists can be very intelligent and persuasive that could affect the way laws are made, which could make a law fit a kind of group. PAC stands for Political Action Committee. PACs are donations, and they have a cap limit on how much can be given to a candidates in federal elections. However, there are also super PACs which are much more different, they are allowed to give unlimited funds, which can make them so much more powerful and controversial.

Interest group were made so the people could have a word as a group and the government could understand them better, however with the creation of super PACs less financial groups have less support. People that have the time and experience are the elders people. They made an interest group in 1958 called AARP, which stands for American Association of Retired Persons, this a great example of what a Interest group should be. however similarly to life, there's good people and there's also criminals.
