The point of view in The Pigman by Paul Zindel is shown through alternating POVs between John and Lorraine. One of the kids has one chapter each to write, then they switch. They each have their unique way of writing how they see things. John prefers to keep everything factual and what actually happened. Lorraine likes to see how things feel through a sentimental point of view. Both of these point of views are necessary to portray the story in an interesting and unique way. How John and Lorraine write each chapter creates a sense of unity between them. The kids have the same experiences with Mr. Pignati but they write about different parts in a different way.
