Peekay realizes that in order to be successful the African children must learn english to communicate to people outside their village (The Power of One). Peekay took it upon himself, speaking both languages fluently, to teach them (The Power of One). This feat was not going to come easily as he faced racist critics and long time enemies (The Power of One). Peekay started out strong with much success but, was soon shut down by the racist police force which was often seen throughout the movie randomly beating blacks for entertainment (The Power of One). After facing much struggle Peekay succeeds and the children are seen reading english books at the end of the movie (The Power of One). This triumph helps justify the horrible racism seen throughout the movie. A similar event occurs in TKAM when Tom Robinson is put on trial for a rape he did not commit (Lee). Atticus tries to break through the grip of racism and free Tom but, justice is not served and Tom is put in jail (Lee). This tragic ending to TKAM shoes why there's more justice delivered in TPO. In summary Peekay breaking through the grips of racism to achieve his goals brought justice unlike the trial of Tom Robinson which shows why justice is not as prevalent in TKAM as
