Different states have different regulations for minor consent to medical treatment. The State of Oregon has consent regulations as follows:
109.610 Right to treatment for venereal disease without parental consent. A minor can obtain medical services without the consent of their parental or guidance approval, but if the disease or condition is one that requires by law and regulation adopted under the law to be reported to the local

However, the person providing the treatment can get the parents involved before the treatment is complete and needs to document any outcome that is if the parents agree or disagree to be part of the treatment plan. The exception is that if a minor has been sexually abused by the parent or legal guidance or an emancipated minor weather the emancipation is under the provision of ORS 109.510 and 109.520 or the minor is not living with the parent or legal guidance for the past 90 days.

109.680 Disclosure without minor’s consent; civil immunity. The healthcare provider can advise the parents or legal guidance for a mental disorder treatment if it is in the best interest of the minor.

109.685 Person is providing treatment or diagnosis not subject to civil liability for providing treatment or diagnosis without the consent of parent or guardian.
