PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

1 How would you plan communication?

I would plan communication depending on the different circumstances as I could communicate face-to-face, by email, via post or by telephone. Despite there being different forms of communication, they all have the same steps involved.

These are as follows…

1. Find out whom I needed to communicate with.
2. Find out the reason I am contacting them.
3. Proceed with the form of communication.

If I were to communicate face-to-face, the three steps above apply simply. I would look at whom I was to communicate with, decide why I have to communicate with them and then go on to ask them any questions or relevant inquires.

This would involve the planning of typing the letter to suit the relevant recipient and the topic of communication and then proceeding to print the document.

To do so, I would do my research on the person I was addressing the letter to and the purpose of the communication. This would be to find out their name and postal address. Once I have done so, I would pick the appropriate envelope and stamp.
The address would then be written neatly on the front of the letter.
The letter would then be posted as soon as possible to allow the recipient to receive it in the shortest length of time.

And finally, the planning of communication via telephone would involve calling a number provided for the relevant contact. To plan this, I would find out the telephone number designated to the recipient in question.

If however, I were instructed to get in contact with a receptionist or personal assistant first, I would take the necessary options. This may be by contacting the receptionist or personal assistant and allowing them to transfer my communication attempt to the recipient in question, to leave a message for the recipient and have them return my call, or have the chance to speak to the contact
