And then there's motherhood, which has completely transformed me. It's not just about me anymore; it's about nurturing and caring for another life, with all the love, sacrifice, and responsibility that entails (LeVasseur et al., 2013). While being a daughter is still a big part of who I am, it's taken a backseat to my roles as a wife and mother. My relationship with my parents has changed as I've grown into adulthood and taken on these new responsibilities. But the values they instilled in me during my teenage years still guide me every day, especially in how I approach being a wife and mother. In my day-to-day life, being a wife and mother is front and center. These roles demand my attention, my care, and my adaptability, shaping almost everything I do (Sellers et al., 1997). But being a daughter still matters, especially in those moments when I connect with my family and feel their support.
