For this task, I will be talking about how and why groups of customers are targeted for selected products. Firstly, I will begin with talking about geographic, demographic and psychographic segmentation techniques. I will then go onto giving some examples of how some businesses target their customers for selected products by writing down some examples.

Geographic segmentation is where the business divides its market on the basis of geography, that will be either in a certain region, city/town or country.

This method of segmentation is important because it can help companies to target the different needs of customers in different regional markets.
