People have been coming to the country legally and illegally and there is much controversy about it. Many believe that people should only be allowed into the country legally. That would make sense, why should someone be allowed to break a law? That is a common question, and, no one should be able to break the law, yet this seems to be a unique situation. People who immigrate to the United States illegally have been doing it for years, yet nothing is being done to stop them, and maybe it is a good thing. Unlawful immigration is when a person starts to live in a country without citizenship or permission. Unlawful immigration has caused stirs about how immigration should be treated. There is a long process and many flaws in the United States immigration system. In the United States, immigration and the laws of immigration are overseen by the government. Immigration laws do many things that set the line on how immigration is done in the United States, “Federal immigration law determines whether a person is an alien, as well as the rights, duties, and obligations associated with being an alien in the United States,”(Immigration). The government enforces all of these laws, yet people still enter the country illegally. It may cause people to question whether the process and laws are worth it. For more information, illegal information has been around for years in the United States. People come to the United States to get away from danger, or to open up new opportunities. Unauthorized immigrants might be breaking the law, but many different reasons could explain their actions. Why assume they are corrupt and planning on doing bad? In brief, illegal immigration is a unique exception to the law that should be allowed. Unlawful citizens contribute to our society and have done way more positive work than negative. Some immigrants were children when brought to the United States and are now unaware that they are breaking the law. Immigration was the basis of how the United States was founded. The law of how someone can pass the border is very complex and can be confusing, not to forget it is also very expensive. Unauthorized immigrants are the same type of people who wait for citizenship, there is no difference besides one may not have the funds or connections to become a lawful citizen. Undocumented people should have the chance to live like citizens as they have become. After someone crosses the border and starts living in the United States, there is nothing that can be done unless they are a criminal. Is unlawful immigration as bad as it is played out to be, or is the government just too stubborn to admit they are wrong by changing the
