It is in my personal experience that my Great Grandpa fought in WWII as a part of the Navy. He never spoke much about it, but was very proud to serve his country. My Grandpa served in the Army and served during the Berlin Crisis. My grandpa talks about test firing missiles back in the 1960s. My Dad served in the Army during peacetime. I have several uncles that have also served during peacetime and during war times. My Uncle Mike served 20 years in the Air Force and has been in many operations, the Iraq War, Desert Storm, and the Bosnian War. My cousin, Tammy was the first woman in our family to serve in the Army during Desert Storm.
