We have been faced with an epidemic. Not an epidemic of disease, poverty, or war, but an epidemic that threatens American life just the same. An epidemic that has claimed American lives for far too long. An epidemic of religious intolerance and discrimination. An epidemic that has swept our nation, as it has many other nations, with a malevolent rage. The United State’s security and safety have been threatened and breached by many opposing religious forces. These people wish to harm Americans and America because of many vast American values we hold. Our enemies want to destroy the nation because of what we believe in. They want to decimate the American families and the American communities so that they may seize power. Most importantly though, they feel it’s their religious duty to kill those with different beliefs than theirs. They kill in the name of their peaceful God. They do not stop and consider the primitive violence and the pain it causes others. No one attacks groups of people without a strong motivational charge, and these people of many religions are not an exception. These people are twisted and are not justified. We must stop them or they shall destroy us like that of a toxin slowly poisoning its host until its ultimate demise. They have to be stopped so that Americans may live without fear of death due to their beliefs. My dream is that people living in America can exercise the freedom of religion promised to them. That they may safely believe in what they want to believe in. We have to stop the discrimination dished upon them before our future is guaranteed to exist, much less be a future worth living in. We have to stop religious persecution for the safety of the children in our country, so that they may grow up to further this
