The time is 1947, which is 2 years after the end of World- War II. Soviet Union, America, England, and a couple of other countries had just defeated the Axis power as Allies, but this relationship between the Soviet Union and America didn’t continue after World-War II. The Cold War was a competition war between America and the Soviet Union to see who is the best on certain topics like who has the best weapon? who can reach the moon first? And many other competitions to see which country is the best. Essentially what started the Cold-War was that the fact that the Soviet Union kept expanding their territory even after World-War II which caused America to fear that Communism will expand in Europe, which is why USSR is partly to blame for the Cold-War. After this, the U.S started showing off atomic bombs and nuclear weapons which started the Arms Race between America and USSR. Although the Soviet Union expanded illegally, ultimately the U.S shouldn’t have formed N.A.T.O, seen Communist as evils and started Arms race, because these actions of the U.S drew fear to the Soviet Union furthering the Cold-War. …show more content…
