Today, abortion is one of the most argued topics. Killing an innocent child is unnecessary because it’s murder. According to World Health Organization 2.16 million girls go through dangerous abortions every year throughout the world. 47,000 girls die from abortions every year. It’s caused many deaths to babies and mothers that could have been prevented if abortion wasn’t around. Proponents who oppose my theory believe women should have control over their bodies. I go against that theory because it is not only the woman's body that is being affected but also the developing baby within her body. Abortion is still considered murder but nobody goes to jail. Ericka Bachiochi from catholic education says “A study published in a recent edition of the Journal of Anxiety Disorders found that women who aborted their unintended pregnancies were 30 percent more likely to subsequently report all the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder than those women who had carried their unintended pregnancies to term.” This shows me that when you choose to abort you are also likely to more problems with your choice. Ericka Bachiochi from the catholic education also says “Thus, research shows that teenagers with a family history of breast cancer who have abortions before their 18th birthday have an incalculably high risk of developing breast cancer.” This says that if abortion is not only risky for you but for your family too.
