Odysseus has been through alot, he was sailing, fighting monsters and trying to find his way home. Odysseus was only able to get back home after Twenty years adrift at sea and throughout all his hardships all he wanted to do was reunite with his family and rule Ithica. There was even a goddess that tried to keep Odysseus with her in her cave for the rest of his life, but not even she could kill his will to return home to his people, is there any other man able to resist the temptation of a god? I say that the hardships that Odysseus faced and overcame is not only motivational but a pure display of heroism and anyone with half a brain should be able to see that. Odysseus is not perfect and has flaws but so does every other mortal being that ever lived, and you can’t hold him to a standard that no human being can rise to. You don’t have to be perfect to be a hero, you just have to fight for what is good, right and have a good heart. Odysseus has all of these traits.
