The victim movement was comprised of movements that were all very different from each other, however, they all had just about two things in common and that was the goal of justice and equality as a mindset. The two main movements that best illustrated this goal was the Women’s Rights Movement and the Civil Rights Movement. The Women’s Rights Movement was a fight for the “right to vote, [to put an end to] domestic violence, sexual assault, and [to promote] temperance after the right to vote was attained” (Victim Services…Part II, 2010).
