I am a trombonist; one of the few women who dare learn this instrument. Over the last 13 years I have performed with several musical ensembles all along the east coast. As a musician, teamwork is essential for creating harmony between the working parts of a musical composition. My skills learned as a musician carry over easily to the field of medicine and are what I offer to your medical school.
Lastly, I wanted to take the time to explain the C+ I received in Calculus II during my junior year. The semester was going very well, but during the last three weeks of the semester several tragic personal events took place, which took away from my finals studies. I did well in all my other classes that semester, but was unable to do the same for my calculus final.
