On September 11, 2001 four commercial passenger airplanes were hijacked by 19 terrorists and used to carry out suicide attacks in the United States. Within in a matter of seconds after the attacks there was debris everywhere. The debris was made up of pulverized concrete, glass and other hazardous fibers. The attacks led to a severe financial recession in the United States. The stock market plummeted. Prior to the attacks on the United States airport security was lenient.
