There have been several actions taken regarding gun control from 1934, the U.S. Congress passed the national fire arms act, and this limit the ownership of machine guns and sawed-off shotguns, to the 1938 federal firearms act that requires dealers and importers to obtain a license, this law prohibited fugitives from have firearms. In 1993 congress pass the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, this new law initially mandated a five-day waiting period to allow local law enforcement agencies to run background checks on potential purchasers of firearms to check any history of criminality or mental instability, however this law was later struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1997 based on the law requirements that the local enforcement officers conduct background checks, but by November 1998, the national government did create a computerized instant check system that bypassed reliance on local law enforcement agencies. The gun control issues and concerns varies for each of us some of us are advocates for gun rights “rights to bear arms” while some of us are advocates if gun control because of life experience. Gun owners I believe fight so hard because they have considered themselves responsible gun owners and they are being attacked or punished because of the few irresponsible users however my belief is that
