1A- Jiang Jieshi was a Chinese dictator and a ruthless political figure who led the Nationalists against the Communist forces. Mao Zedong was a Chinese Communist leader. Mao and his followers wanted to heal their organization after it was attacked by Jiang. This attack was the beginning of the Chinese Civil War.
1B- Chinese citizens wanted to see changes in their country after World War 1 . The Guomindang nationalists led the protest with a support from China, but communism was the best way to strengthen the country. A partnership between the Communist Party and the Guomindang was built when the Chinese Communist formed. Their main objectives were to work together and to eliminate China’s warlords.

a) Japan was undergoing many changes during the Meigi restoration. Many problems were created when the nation’s economy began to industrialize. The economic depression was a challenge that faced the Japanese so was the overpopulation, lack of food, and the overcrowded areas.
b) Japan has changed to a country that cares more about their industry. They borrowed education and ideas from the West, some of the Japanese people adopted Western beliefs and fashions. All in all, Japan changed to a better nation after WW1
