Are Europe and Japan more similar than people think in terms of military, culture, and social structure? Even though Europe and Japan are seemingly far from each other, their way of life is not any different than it seems. Both countries strive for innovation and power, growing their military and culture throughout the years. Europe with their brave and humble knights and Japan with their loyal and talented samurai, these 2 soldiers both have a defense role in a social structure, a similar way of training and combat style, and an unbreakable belief in loyalty and spiritual powers. In Japan and Europe, they both shared a social structure in which the samurai and knights were middle class. Both social structures followed similar social classes and roles for the society, having farmers, warriors and kings/emperors. In addition, document A contrasts with document B. Document B states that samurais served the higher ranks, showing loyalty and faith towards their lords. The knights did the same, showing loyalty towards the King and Pope throughout their times as knights.
