With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility In a world filled with mass shootings and terrorist attacks, the nation has gotten on the gun control bandwagon. Many people believe that the world would be safer from these attacks and shootings if there were fewer guns. However, the guns are not the problem. The problem lies with the individual who pulls the trigger. People should not be intimidated by others owning guns. Even though many people believe that guns should be banned, it is argued that the second amendment should be protected because it is a constitutional right. Society debates that guns kill people. They do not specifically blame the person for their actions. A gun without human interaction is worthless; however, it cannot operate on its own. It is the person that pulls the trigger who is to blame for the cause. Also, it can be concluded that guns are too easy to access. Used guns can be purchased and not have to be registered. Most criminals who obtain guns will buy them used because they cannot be traced back to the criminal. Guns are the weapon that many criminals will use. There are too many firearms for the government to take every single gun from every household in America (Younge). The government can only pass so many laws, but the fact remains the same, guns are here to stay. The amendment should not be modified in any way because it is a natural right. However, as with any right, a person must use responsible judgement to decide when and where it is appropriate to express them.
