It is not uncommon for someone to survive a single bullet wound. The determining factor is the shot placement and if the bullet struck any vital organs. Even with that, death is not a guarantee. No one enjoys hearing about the needless deaths associated with firearms. Even though gun related violence and homicides are on a decline, we do to continue this trend. Removing weapons from the law-abiding citizens in this country will not solve this problem. People need a way to properly defend themselves as our constitution dictates.
