Borderline Personality Disorder
Jayna is a 24-year-old woman with a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder (BPD). This disorder is characterized by unstable emotions and moods, these kinds of mood swings are intense, but typically don’t last very long. These experiences often result in impulsive actions and relationships that fluctuate and often lead to self-mutilation (Early, 2017). According to Jayna’s assessment, she was given a role checklist which list occupational roles for past, present and future. This helps determine the value she placed on certain occupational roles with a check mark. Some roles that were listed included, student, worker, doing things with family, having a hobby/hobbies. In the final results, Jayna put most emphasis on work participation and seeking a meaningful relationship.
Long Term Goal
The long-term goal (LTG) that was determined was work participation. This LTG relates to MOHO because in volition, Jayna will have a time frame of 6 weeks. This will motivate her since she has a limited amount of time and less time to procrastinate and she can

Jayna will be create a coping cube, this will help her understand the difference between healthy and unhealthy coping skills. To begin this activity, Jayna can write one thing on each square that makes her feel better when she becomes angry, irritable, upset, or sad. Next, she can decorate each box and cut the figure out to start folding it into its cubed shape. When Jayna is faced with a tough situation she can roll the cube and use the strategy it lands on. Practicing some situations that upset her will be used to strengthen her coping skills. For example, Jayna admits her bosses are jerks which leads her to quitting her jobs, by giving her similar scenarios during therapy session, she can use her coping cube and eventually recall and consciously start referring to the coping skills
