To begin with Brutus killed Caesar to protect Rome, but it was a brutal killing. Brutus did not want the people to become slaves. Brutus states “The only way is to kill Caesar. I have no personal reason to strike at him—only the best interest of the people.” (Julius Caesar) This is wrong because Brutus killed Caesar to stop him from gaining so much power. He says that it is not personal. It seems very hateful to kill a person who has not done anything wrong. Brutus would've been a noble King. Caesar wanted the best interest in people. He wants them to be equal not treated like slaves.
Furthermore, he didn't have Caesar’s best interest at heart. “And you too, Brutus? In that case, die, Caesar.(he dies)” Caesar thought brutus was his friend. Friends are supposed to let you know when you are doing wrong not kill you. Brutus killed Caesar to stop him from gaining so much power. He did not want the people to become slaves.
