Most wildfires occur due to nature, thunderstorms are one of the common ways as a little spark in dry acres can immediately spread uncontrollably, causing temporary or even permanent damage. Lightning contains a large amount of heat and no precipitation, creating evaporation and a start of fire when coming in contact with flammable materials, and nature such as trees, and vegetation. But it’s not just lightning that causes wildfires, but human activity as well. Unattended campfires, not properly putting the fire down, wrongly discarding cigarettes, grazing livestock, etc. It might not seem much, but it does build up when a ton of people are doing such things every single day. A lot of people do damage for a purpose or without even realizing it. All of this heat is staying in our atmosphere, melting ice, more frequent storms, and fire that will continue if humans don’t try and work as a community together to reduce and improve the quality of Earth’s life. It’s not only agencies who are trying to learn and understand the issue of fire and to protect nature, but also some tribes that safely use fire. However, solving wildfire issues is not coming easily as using prescribed burning increases the number of Cal Fire and Forest Service fires. Doing things such as educating people about wildfire safety, taking precautions when camping, or doing any other activities that are associated with a fire. Doing community services by cleaning dead debris and overgrowth of plants. People in the field are constantly learning about the behavior of wildfires and ways to prevent them. Having countries help one another with resources and collaborating to help prevent specific regions from having wildfires because they’re prone to them.
