America monopolized the atomic bomb in military, and three-quarters of the world's gold reserved in America. “From 1955 to 1968, America's GDP was growing at 4% a year. From 1950s to 1960s, American economy emerged a period what western economists called "golden age". American gross national product increased from $23.3 billion in 1961 to $63.4 billion in 1971. From 1965 to 1970, American industrial production was growing at 18%.” The USSR’s military strength and economic strength improved a lot compared with past.
