It was stated four years ago if cheerleading was a sport. By saying that it was ruled that competitive cheerleading is not a sport by a judge. Apparently cheerleading didn't meet the requirements. Which in my opinion is total bull. That judge has, had no reason to put cheerleading on the list of not being a sport.

It is not fair to the cheerleaders they do all of this for the players and are not even considered a sport. That is so messed up. How would you feel if this was you being a part of something and not getting the credit. Cheerleading is the spirit of the school, the pride. Without them everyone would be down. If the team loses the cheerleaders are their for them to get them motivated to try harder next time. Or even if the team wins they are there to tell them how good they did and how they made them proud. That is what I would call a sport, showing the sportsmanship good or bad. I myself am a cheerleader. And i do not appreciate that we, me and all other cheerleaders are not getting the respect or attention we need, deserve. I tis hard to be a cheerleader We do a lot to show everyone to be positive and cheerful throughout the game or competition. This is why we need, deserve, to be a sport. Nobody else lefts up a whole person, stays positive whether we win or lose we are the spirit. So in conclusion cheerleaders are not considered a sport, but should be!
