Getting rid of the Confederate Flag would be like getting rid of a historical president. The confederate flag is closely associated with the rebels of the Civil War and people think it should be banned. The confederate flag should be allowed to be flown and raised in America and should not be banned because the flag is a part of American history and people should have the right to fly the Confederate Flag.

One reason is that it would cause even more controversy than there already is and having the government clear up the controversy would be bad, because then people will say that our government favors the confederate side of the Civil War. The history of the flag is not that confusing it was the flag the south used in battle. The flag has many symbols and the main one is, in fact, slavery.
