Abstract
Cystic Fibrosis, a recessively genetic received disease, is a dangerous lung defect that occurs in almost 200,000 people each year. It is only inherited and works by damaging the lungs and the digestive system. It hazardously affects cells that create mucus, sweat, and digestive juices inside of your body. While these fluids are meant to act as a lubricant, cystic fibrosis causes these fluids to become thick and sticky, blocking up tubes, ducts, and passageways. Unfortunately, aside from personal lifestyle choices, genetics can play a role in how well your lungs do their overall job. Cystic Fibrosis, an accelerating, genetic disease that causes “persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe overtime” , is one of the few types of diseases that affects the overall health of the lungs. It’s a disease that currently has treatments that can only help monitor and control its growth and development throughout the lifespan of the contracted individual.
