We sat next to the staff and client’s table. My mentor introduced me to the group and we ordered food and watched people line dance. There was a lady instructing the people on the dance floor of what to do. My mentor kept asking me what I thought. I told him the truth that I would need a lot of practice to remember each step of the dance. He said he already knew how to line dance. I encouraged him to go to the floor to dance and have a good time. He wanted to order food first and eat then go out to the dance floor. My mentor ordered the prime rib and I ordered the ribeye. By the time we were finished with the meal and paid the line dancing group were advancing with all of their steps. My mentor’s staff and associates left after they ate we said bye and my mentor and I went out to the dance floor. Most of the people on the dance floor we still line dancing to country songs. My mentor was just moving to the music but was not line dancing. I just two stepped until I was in the way of other dancers. I told my mentor since I was in the way that I would just watch from the side. He joined me and said it would be fun if we both knew how to line dance and that I should practice.
