The benefits of industrialization progressed the United States more than it would’ve if we didn't do it. Child labor and pollution are two of the biggest bad things we gout out of industrialization. Based off of document C, John Birley states that he was once beaten until the person beating him scared himself. Another document by Dr. Michael Ward claims from 1st person experience when he would go to the factories to bring people back to good health he could not go 10 minutes without gasping for breath. He also claims he saw in many instances where the muscles and skin had been stripped down to bone from being beaten. He also approximated the ratio of all the kids that worked and said about one half of them were hurt or abused. We got the steam engine, railroads, different theories that lead to medicine and stuff to keep you healthy. We got electricity, plumbing, women’s rights, public education, and organized sports. You do have child labor, pollution, and machines taking people's jobs but these inventions create new job paths for these people to pursue. Instead of doing what the machine does they could fix the machine when it breaks. All in all, we benefited more from industrialization than fell back. As long as we are taking steps forward and not back then we will keep inventing new stuff to take care of our problems and progressing as a
