To have courage is to do something that scares you. If you’re scared to do something it doesn’t mean you’re not brave, it means you have courage because you’re still doing it. It can take courage to do little things for some people. It can take courage to go to school everyday because you have an anxiety disorder. It can also mean cutting all your hair off or wearing those certain shoes or that certain shirt that everyone stares at you for. I can take courage to do big things too. It’s courageous to run into a burning building to save a little girls teddy bear because it’s the only thing that will calm her down. It’s courageous to come out to religious parents and be proud of who you are. It’s courageous to be 1 month clean because you have to take baby steps to become a better person. It takes courage to accept you have a problem or that it’s your fault or that you need help. It takes courage to keep protesting even after people have been locked up, beat up, and killed because you know what’s right. …show more content…
You die when you become blind to the fact that people are being mistreated because you think it’s a dangerous way of thinking and you die when a cop has a gun pointed to your head and you hear that pop because he thought you were reaching for a gun after he told you to get out your I.D. People have fought for rights since the beginning of time and it almost always leads to good. If you’re scared it’s okay but what makes you courageous is the bravery to power forward and do it anyway. So when we scream, “BLACK LIVES MATTER” and you say, “but all lives matter.” you’ve died. When people say “Love is love” and you say,” don’t shove it in my face though” you’ve died. When you refuse to let refugees in because, “ they might pull a trojan horse” and, “we don’t know what they’ll do” you’ve died. You’re blind
