When discrimination goes unchecked, it penetrates back into society and creates bigger issues. In the case of the Holocaust it started out small and kept growing over time as the Nazis continued to become more discriminatory against Jews. In this autobiography they say that since the past two years it had gone downhill for Jews in Germany with the Hitler Party creating specific laws targeted at Jews to limit them from doing the social and economic activities of their everyday lives. This then escalated further into the night of broken glass where the German people developed such a prejudice that they went out and started destroying the Jews' business and houses. This is one of the best examples of what consequences there are to discrimination,
