The state laws ensure the safety of drivers along with pedestrians and the government use their resources to prevent distracted driving. Although it isn't enough to insure safety of all distracted drivers or even a substantial amount as statistics show about 420,000 people are either killed or injured per year due to distracted driving. Every day our roads experience a great degree of drivers. Theres been a large amount of distractions approaching many drivers nowadays. This problem is known as distracted driving and isn't something that can simply be stopped by a PSA. Many loved ones lose close relatives or even family members to this tragic issue. Many people are caught up in distraction while driving through using their phones, not getting sleep before getting behind the wheel, and friends being a disturbance while driving. These problems must be taken more serious and discussed to drivers and implemented into their minds that this is a massive problem that need to be eliminated. …show more content…
In fact the state does remove distracted drivers if they are the lead reasons for the accident they will be put in prison depending on their situation. Unfortunately, there are thousands of accidents yearly and the cause is something as small as distraction. 94% of drivers acknowledge the dangers of distracted driving while 35% of those drivers admitted to participating in distracted driving and sadly 21% of drivers have been involved in a fatal accident due to distracted driving. Texting and driving is one of the primary factors behind these tragedies and teens are usually the main targets for this type of distracted driving. PSA’s try their best to tackle this mass problem by spreading as much awareness about distracted driving as they possibly can.
