An emergency can be defined as an unexpected situation that requires immediate attention; it can affect a multitude of persons in many different ways at any given time. Quick and efficient response to such emergency situations is crucial to help maintain the best quality of life for all individuals affected. Divide the seconds by 5 and the resulting number represents the distance of the storm in miles. Anything between 1-10 miles away must result in immediate discontinuation of play.
1. Once lightning is detected within the area play must be stopped for one-hour minimum.
2. Once play has been stopped all athletes, staff and spectators must take shelter, which includes the country club and vehicles.

Earthquake and tornado:
1. Seek immediate shelter if available, and wait out the weather conditions.
2. Assess any minor and life threatening injuries that may have occurred once the weather conditions are safe.
3. Once weather is terminated evacuate the premises by sending all uninjured persons home.
4. Anyone that is severely injured will be transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Life Threatening Medical Conditions: Life threatening situation which include but are not limited to heat illness, concussion, heart attack, shock, hyponutremia, allergic reactions and severe blood loss.

Intruders and Bomb Threats: o Intruders: o If possible and safe, move as many people to shelter as possible. o If intruder is inside the country club do not send people there, instead take cover wherever possible. o Stay as quiet as possible and try not to draw attention to your area. o Do not use radios for discussion of where the intruder may be. o Do not assume that someone has contacted the police, contact as quietly and timely as possible. o Wait for police to arrive to scene and determine what the plan of action is. o Return to play will be stopped for the day. o Bomb and Bomb Threat: o Leave bomb or suspicious items where found, evacuate area as quickly as possible. o Notify police as soon as possible. o Return to play will be stopped for the day incase another bomb is somewhere else on the
