The term “emerging adult” means that there is a transition from being an adolescent to becoming and adult. During this period, adolescents and young adults go through five distinct stages that are a key component to development. I think that this concept shows a great impact on adolescents and adults as a whole. The reason being is because as we continue to grow throughout our lives, we are still developing in the environment that we live in and through genetics. Also, during this period, it is a time where opportunities and connections with others can become essential to someone who is trying to find a career or job.
