I thinks the state should require mandatory vaccination for the community and if they don’t get vaccinated then they should pay a fine but not go to jail. I also think the vaccination policy should permit religious exemptions but not medical or philosophical exemptions. They should allow religious exemptions because if their religion states that they can’t be vaccinated then they shouldn’t this is a real reason why someone can’t get vaccinations. For medical reasons if they can’t afford then it’s ok they can find a way to raise money and get vaccinated. If the people who don’t comply with the mandatory requirement the public health officials should respond by showing them a presentation of what will happen if you don’t get vaccinated and what happens if you do. They shouldn’t force them they should help them and encourage them to get vaccinated. If a serious of public health risk happens then the state public health department should have authority to vaccinate people but not against their wills. Parents are probably worried about their kids getting serious side effects so they don’t want their children to get vaccinated. People might start an argument about this policy and then it might go all around the community and the community might think it's a bad idea to get vaccinated. But I plan on showing people that getting vaccinations isn’t a bad thing but actually a good thing and getting vaccinated can protect us. The concept of community immunity is when a portion of the community is immunized against a contagious disease, most people are protected against the disease because there is little opportunity of an outbreak.
