The story "Rip Van Winkle”, written by Washington Irving is taking place in America, in a small village at the bottom of the mountain. A long time ago, a good man by the name of Rip Van Winkle lived there. All the neighbors loved him, but his wife was always nagging him and she often forced him to leave the house. Rip's wife was always nagging him because he didn't contribute to the house chores or helping raising his children. Rip was so always so helpful to everyone business but his family which makes his wife furious and underappreciated. His wife feels like he wasn't being a good example to their son because he was doing everything that the dad was doing. One day, Rip went to the mountains to hunt like he always does. When he was about to return home, he heard an old man calling him, he rushed to help him to go up the hill, and the man led him to the canyon, similar to a small amphitheatre. However, when Rip asked the crowd about "Rip Van Winkle" no one seems to know what happened until a young woman from the crowed approached him and explained to him that Rip had left his home with his gun and gun and never returned home but his dog did at some point. The young woman had told him that they weren't sure if he killed himself or was kidnapped by the Indians. No one seems to have an answer. But then, Rip quietly asked the young woman about her mother and the young woman had told him that she, too had passed away.
