One of the reasons why America has lost its prestige over the years is because of slavery. It is said that Christopher Columbus discovered America, but apparently it was not like that when the Americans arrived in America there were already Indigenous people living there. Since that time it has become a belief that a white person is superior and wiser than a person of color.With no remorse or conscience, Americans took the territory of the natives and enslaved them to death. From then on America has been known as the country of racism. Whites with ambitions and thirst for money and property began to expand west. These probe people were mistreated enslaved which apparently was not bad since they were paid to be for their services.They were helping out survive.
