IS FEDERAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM ANY GOOD?
During the great depression of the 1930s, Franklin D. Roosevelt government confronted numerous challenges. The Concern of malnutrition amongst the school going children was one of them. Due to limited family resources, they were unable to bear the cost of lunches in school. To provide children with required nutrients, the government introduced Federal School Lunch Program, in which children were provided with free noonday meals. This program proved to be a marvellous idea as it attracted more children to kids as well as aided the in the price increase of surplus crops.
