Have you ever wondered what it is like to live in the woods? How to get food and water? Or even build a fire to keep warmth with? Well then today is your lucky day. Survival is very important. Over the last couple of weeks we have gone to do all these things outside. On one of the first couple of days we built a shelter outside. A couple days after that we went outside to made a snare trap and that was a fail because the tree snapped in half. Lastly on Monday we just built a fire. It was cool because we could feel our stick getting warmer as we kept rubbing it against the log. The paragraph we have are how to survive in the outside, how to gather food and water, how to build a fire, and lastly the conclusion. Now let's get on to the story. …show more content…
My group and I actually almost built a fire. To build a fire you will need sticks, a log to stabilize the fire, a log to make the fire, water, and paper.But before you do anything I would recommend putting down rocks around a hole that you could have done in the woods. First you will need to make sure there is nothing around you that the fire can catch on because you don’t want to have a wild fire where you live. Once you have that done you will need to get that log that I told you to get and grab a wide heavy stick to rub against the log with to make smoke which will turn into fire. Rub the stick in the log making it have a deep long hole into the log. You know that it is a good sign when your stick is starting to warm up. Trust me it will take awhile so make sure that you are patient when making a fire. When you see smoke then you must lightly blow air into the smoke unit you see orange. When you see the fire starting to flame grab sticks, logs, and dead leaves to put in the fire. But never ever use green leaves in a fire because green leaves have lots of moisture in them.
