Which Public Service use these tests and how I compare to them
Flexibility
sit and reach test
This test is carried out by sitting with your legs stretched out touching a board and you have to push the metal part on top of the box to see how far it would go.
44
This test is used In the testing for the army, but it isn’t something that you must be good at it is just a small test that is carried out and is unimportant compared to the other types of tests.
Strength
Grip strength test
This test is basically where you hold the grip machine in one hand and you must grip the machine as hard as you can to get a grip. left= 21kg right= 25kg
This test is used in the prison service. To get In the prison service you have to get 25kg on both hands. Personally I would be unable to complete this as my left hand only got 21kg but my right hand just meets the perfect requirement.
Muscular endurance
Press ups and sit ups
Push ups you have to do normal press ups, and you have to do normal sit ups, you have to do as many as you can in 1 minute or for some public services you have to do as many as you can in 2 minutes.
In one minute…
Press ups = 7
Sit ups 33
For the army women have to do 50 sit ups up in 2 minutes, and then you have to do 21 press ups in 2 minutes. I therefore I qualify for the sit ups because I can do 66 in 2 minutes, however I don’t qualify for the press ups.

You have to stand at the end of a tape measure (at 0cm) and then jump as far as you can. This is repeated 3 times and you record your best score.
