Genghis Khan was an important figure in history who made a lasting impact on many civilizations and cultures. He started in Mongolia and created an empire that stretched from Shanghai to the Caspian Sea, reaching southern parts of Russia and northern parts of India. This question relates to our studies because he affected trade on the Silk Road with Europeans and helped his grandson, Kublai Khan, destroy the Song dynasty and create a new dynasty in China.
