One perspective is that airport security is a waste of time and causes delays. From this perspective, one may think that waiting for the TSA can take too much time, but in reality, people do not notice the importance of getting checked in at a security checkpoint. In the article “Why do I have to take my laptop out of the bag during Airport Security?” it states, “The main reason you have to remove your laptop from your bag is because its battery and other mechanical components are too dense for the x-ray to penetrate effectively- especially if the scanning system is old. . . With these items in your bag, security officials can't use the screened image to determine whether a risk is present. They'll have to flag the bag for a physical search, …show more content…
Another reason why one may believe that airport security is a waste of time is that it’s pointless. In the article “How Airport Security Changed in America” it states, “If you arrived at an airport with or without a ticket, you could walk right through the terminal and up to any gate. No one will stop you or ask you to prove who you are. You could carry whatever you wanted onto your flight -- it's not as if someone was going to look into your bag. Firearms.
